Following the huge success of the 2017 edition, the Pompeii Theatrum Mundi festival of ancient performance arts returns to Pompeii’s Grande Teatro.

This year’s event, the second edition, will take place from June 21st to July 21st. It is part of a four-year project curated by the Teatro Stabile in Napoli, the Teatro Nazionale and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii.

The 2018 program includes four performances taken from famous classic pieces to be performed on an ancient stage dating back to the Second Century BC. The Teatro Grande of Pompeii is the most important and fascinating archaeological site in the world.
